He was born in the United States of America (USA) but grew up in Athens. In 1998, after high school, he went to the USA and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. There he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2003. In 2008 he graduated from Ross University School of Medicine.

He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Nassau University Medical Center in New York from where he received his residency in Pediatrics in 2011. In 2014, he received the title of specialty (Fellowship) in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes after a three-year residency at Maimonides Medical Center / State University of New York – Downstate in New York.

After the prescribed examinations by the American Board of Pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics) he received the certification of Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.

In the USA he worked as a Curator in the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and at Northwell Health. In 2014 he was named Assistant Professor of Pediatrics first at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and then at the Zucker School of Medicine in 2016.

During his time in the US he organized and directed the Gender Development Disorders clinic at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. He was an active member in the university's educational programs for students and interns. He has contributed to research in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes and counts numerous publications in international scientific journals and announcements in international conferences. He is an active member of the Endocrine Society (International Society of Endocrinology) and ESPE (European Society of Pediatric Endocrinology).

He returned to Greece in 2022 and successfully completed the process of recognition of the Pediatrics specialty, including the Pediatrics exams.
